Finding the right equipment and tools to use when making sushi should not be a problem in most major metropolitan areas. Just look for Japanese or Asian markets in your city. But if you don't live in, or near, a large city, you should be able to find everything you need online.
Below is a partial list of some suppliers of sushi equipment for you to check out.
Great-News is a San Diego based store that sells a large selection of knives, rice cookers, rice tubs, rice paddles, bamboo mats and sushi molds. They can also be reached by phone at 888-478-2433 (1-888-GR8-CHEF).
Houserice (tel. 877-469-1718) is an Arizona based store that sells online. When you visit their site simply search the left nav bar for sushi supplies and it will take you to their store page. They offer about the same items as the one above.
Sushilinks - this online store has a limited amount of equipment, but I did see a sushi maker that looked interesting. It also has some knives and slicers that looked unique.
Sushisecrets - this site had some very interesting sushi sets and bowls along with a wide variety of other common sushi making items. They also have a section on sushi ingredients for sale.
You might also check Amazon. A lot of their items are supplied by third party vendors, in other words they have a lot more than just books now. But if you need a sushi making book, this is probably the place to check.
This is just a partial list, you can find many more online stores by using your favorite search engine (mine is Google) and entering "sushi equipment".
