Spyderco Mariner Salt Rust Free SS Serrated Edge Knife Overview

The original Spyderco Mariner set the standard for stainless-steel- handled boating and sailing knives in the 80s and 90s. Now that original classic is back and even better, featuring Spyderco's exclusive H-1 steel. H-1 is an extraordinary Japanese steel that uses nitrogen instead of carbon to create its steel matrix. The result is an austenitic steel that does not require heat treatment, gets harder and tougher with use and is completely impervious to rust! Featuring a traditional sheepfoot blade that is safe for rescue use and work around inflatable watercraft, the Mariner's stainless steel handle includes a shackle key/drying vent that allows moisture to escape the handle when used around water. A 12mm Spyderco Round Hole in the blade makes ambidextrous one-handed opening a breeze, and a stainless steel pocket clip configured for right-hand, tip-down carry ensures that the knife will be ready and accessible when you need it most.
