I am really impressed with the design of this knife. It is extremely light weight, petite, sophisticated, yet still comfortable to use with great effect. It fits well in my hand, and is incredibly sharp. As shown in the picture, I have the serrated version. It was a birthday present and i had asked for the straight edged version because I wasnt sure what I could cut effectively with such a small serrated blade. I decided to try it out on another birthday present, a pair of nice headphones that came in that really tough plastic that electronics always come in. I barely inserted the tip and traced around the headphones with such ease, I lost all doubt immediately. The tip is 2-3 centimeters of straight blade, but is not as sharp as the edge "between the sheepsfoot"(the big spaces in the serrated portion of the blade). Since my birthday, i have kept my cricket with me everywhere, except school. This morning, I needed to clip my toenails, but I had lost the clippers. So I thought for a moment.... and I decided to gently use the knife do do the dirty work (no pun intended). It actually worked! The cricket is so sharp yet fine and easy to control, that cutting my nails was easy. As you can clearly deduce from this realy life experience, This knife is worth the slightly high price. I also use the cricket as a money clip, which looks nice and works well. The pocket clip easily holds 1-5 bills, as well as keeps the knife in my pocket. The lock is sturdy, and the only downside is that it is hard to pull off the sawing motion with this knife. Of course, if I had wanted a saw, i would have gotten a saw. The cricket is a great everyday knife, but it is not meant to tackle hard jobs. Its great for opening boxes, cutting off itchy shirt tags etc etc. I give it 5 stars for design, funtion, and aesthetics.
